My name is Evan Silva, and I'm a 25 year old resident of Ward 1. I'm a supply teacher during the school year, and during summers I work as a wilderness canoe guide. My work has given me the opportunity to learn from people of all ages and backgrounds, both in the classroom and outdoors. I studied Criminology at the University of Toronto and also served in the Canadian Army Reserve.
I care deeply about the natural environment and the unique character of Guelph. As our city grows, I believe we can grow and improve, while also protecting the green spaces, neighbourhoods, and sense of community that makes up our beloved big small town.
